Paper by Professor Alex Edmans tops 2023 list of sustainability reads

1140x346 Alex Edmans Article

The CFA Institute Research and Policy Center (RPC) has named a paper by London Business School Professor of Finance Alex Edmans its most popular sustainability article of 2023.

The paper ‘Applying Economics—Not Gut Feel—to ESG’, published in Financial Analysts Journal, argues that realising the aims of ESG does not require the creation of new frameworks and methodologies. To demonstrate this, it examines 10 ESG issues and demonstrates how well-established economic principles can be applied to address them.

It was the RPC’s most clicked on article on the research theme of ‘Sustainability (Advancing the Industry’s Thinking on Sustainability Investing)’ last year.
