**Career search and recruitment happens throughout the whole programme, but this is particularly intense in term one.
Contingent on career tracks, and subject to additional fees, MFA students may extend their learning to complete three additional electives courses at LBS or with one of our exchange partner schools to broaden their global exposure and understanding. International exchanges are available with other world-class business schools in Europe, North America and Asia.
Enrolling in the 4th term expands students’ eligibility to apply for more internship opportunities. MFAs may apply for summer internships commencing at the end of their core course work with companies which recruit on a strict penultimate year policy.

Our Global Experience courses challenge you to apply your learning in new and unfamiliar contexts, and to have responsible real-world impact. For one intensive, immersive week, you will expand your global mindset and network. Alongside your peers in Graduate Masters, MBA and Leadership programmes, travel to destinations such as Austin, Cape Town, Medellin and Paris.
Each Global Experience is led by expert faculty and explores a topical theme, offering an in-depth view of a country's business culture. You will have the opportunity to interact meaningfully with members of the local business ecosystem, faculty, alumni, fellow students and others in the LBS global community.

Each year, scholarships enable a number of MiF and MFA students to take the CFA Programme at the reduced fee of USD350 for the June sitting. The CFA Programme enrolment fee is also waived. A full set of CFA study materials is available at LBS. Students also receive a CFA Institute newsletter and are invited to CFA events.
Chartered Financial Analysis Institute is the global, not-for-profit association of investment professionals that awards the CFA and CIPM designations.
A relationship between CFA Institute and select colleges and universities around the world that embed a significant percentage (70%) of the CFA Programme Candidate Body of Knowledge into their degree programmes.
CFA Institute awards CFA Programme Partner status to recognise finance degree programmes which are (i) academically rigorous and (ii) closely aligned to professional practice. The CFA Institute recognises that professional and academic qualifications are complementary: both play an important role in ensuring the success of the finance industry.
No. Designation as a CFA University Affiliation Programme Partner does not mean that the MiF or MFA and the CFA are the same thing; they are complementary to each other. Because of the breadth and depth of curriculum, the MiF and MFA are appropriate for CFA candidates and CFA charter holders alike. The MFA and CFA are very different and complementary study experiences and many students choose to follow both qualifications as part of their professional development.

Core courses in investment fundamentals, asset management, corporate finance, accounting, financial markets, data analytics and world economy form the backbone of the MFA, supported by a wide range of electives in everything from financial engineering to emerging markets.

A unique feature of our programme is that it combines in-depth lectures with practical workshops and seminars led by practitioners working in the finance Industry. Those experts not only dig deep into the material and problem-sets created by faculty, but also share modelling methods and best practices from their companies.
You will take an Introduction to Valuation and Modelling workshop during Foundations and Careers Bootcamp Week to prepare for the autumn recruitment season. In addition, there will be modelling opportunities across the core courses and in some electives.
All programme components are delivered in person and we expect students to fully attend on campus whether in London or in Dubai if you are taking electives there.
The Masters in Finance (MiF) offers thorough and focused training in finance and is aimed at people who have worked in the sector for a minimum of two and an average of five years who wish to advance their careers. MiF students may take this programme in order to deepen their existing financial knowledge, or to move into a different role in the industry. You have the option to take the MiF on a full- or part-time basis for 10–16 or 22 months respectively.

The CFA Program Partner initiative is a relationship between the CFA Institute and select colleges and universities around the world that have embedded a significant percentage (70%) of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge into their degree programmes.
The MFA meets these qualifications and anticipates receiving Program Partner status at the beginning of term one.

A year-long project is a programme requirement. There are at least four broad topics to choose from and you have some choice in how to focus your discussion. This piece of work can be brought to interviews, worked on throughout the year and practised to fine-tune your presentation skills.
