Academic Focus

Dominic teaches strategy, values and corporate transformation. He combines his teaching work with independent consultancy assignments and board appointments.

Experience

Dominic is Adjunct Professor in Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management at London Business School, where he has held a Faculty position alongside his other professional interests since 1995.

Previously, Dominic was Group Strategy Director for Blue Circle Industries plc and earlier worked for The Boston Consulting Group in the UK, Spain and Mexico. He is a Governor and Council Member of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and a Board member of the Clore Social Leadership Foundation where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee.

At London Business School Dominic teaches across the full range of graduate degree programmes and is a multiple winner of teaching awards. He is Academic Director for the School’s Global Business Consortium, which is for small groups of leaders moving into the most senior positions at Oracle, Mars, Johnson & Johnson, BUPA, DP World and Emirates Group. He is also Academic Director and lead Faculty for the School’s open programme, “Executing Strategy for Results”, a one-week programme for leaders from a wide range of UK and international businesses and public sector bodies.

Dominic’s advisory work beyond London Business School focuses on strategy execution, where he brings a unique mix of theory, practical experience, and insight to his work. Currently, he is advising the Executive Board of the Qatar Foundation and senior management of Cello Health plc. From 2013 to 2017 he worked with Deloitte to develop and co-lead the firm’s Growth Escalator programme, for a wide range of CEO’s of UK mid-market clients. In 2019 Dominic co-led a series of workshops for the CEO’s of UK mid-market companies backed by Close Brothers Private Equity, to develop sustainable exit strategies. From 2011 to 2019 he was the lead shareholder and Board member for his family’s farming company in Argentina, directing a successful turnaround and sale of the business.

Dominic’s articles have appeared in a broad range of publications, including Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review. In 2019 Kogan Page published his latest co-authored book: “How Philosophy Can Teach You to Be a Better Leader”.

Dominic has an MA in History from Cambridge University, an MBA from Stanford Business School and an MPhil by Research in Philosophy from Buckingham University with Distinction.

Experience

David has 35 years of experience in business, consulting and academia. He is a consultant, researcher, sought-after speaker and author working with business leaders across Europe, the US, the Middle East, Africa, China and India. In 2019, he was cited on the Thinkers 50 Radar of top global management thinkers. David has held senior positions in academia as head of department, and in business as a managing director. As an entrepreneur he has successfully grown and sold ventures in business consulting and software. David is also known for designing and facilitating executive programmes that are experiential, memorable and impactful.

In 2019, David co-authored, “What Philosophy Can Teach You About Being a Better Leader”. The book is an account of how we can reconnect companies, people and shareholder interests. It answers perennial leadership concerns regarding strategy formulation and execution, people engagement, key performance indicators and generational differences through the lens of philosophy.

We recommend you apply at least three months before the programme starts to guarantee your place. The application form will take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete.
When will I hear back from you?

We’ll acknowledge receipt of your application by email within 48 hours, if it’s received during normal working hours (Mon-Fri – 9am-6pm GMT).

We will review and respond to your application within two working days. We do this in order of receipt and acceptance is not automatic.
Can I reserve a place?

Yes. We can hold a provisional place for you for up to two weeks, but be aware that completed applications take priority and programmes often fill up several months in advance. You can reserve a place online, by phone or by email.
