Walpole, the official sector body for UK luxury, and LBS have cemented their drive to support future leaders in the luxury sector with a scholarship designed to support first-year MBA students interested in a career in the sector – The Walpole Scholarship. The initiative is designed to help a candidate coming from an organisation within the Walpole family to become a next-generation leader in the luxury sector.
Walpole and LBS run the Luxury Leaders of Tomorrow programme, which is predominately for first-year MBA students who have a strong interest in working in the luxury sector post their MBA. A small number of Masters in Management and Masters in Analytics and Management students can also join the programme.
LBS and Walpole first joined forces to offer a unique luxury management programme in 2013. A second programme was launched in 2015. Students from the programme have already achieved success, with LBS incubator fine jewellery company Banneya London, nominated for a Walpole British Luxury Award in the Digital Innovation category in 2016.
