London Business School (LBS) has welcomed a diverse cohort of students to its London and Dubai campuses through its December 2023 Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy intake and its January 2024 Executive MBA (EMBA) intake. More than 1,500 students have started with the school during the 2023/24 academic year so far, with more than 2,500 students enrolled with the school overall.
Some 101 nationalities have joined the school since the start of the 2023/24 academic year, reinforcing the diversity of the school community.
Highlights include:
49 Sloan students, representing 20 nationalities and bringing with them an average of 17 years of experience working in industries as wide-ranging as consulting, education, film, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, leisure and sports and technology. 35% of the class are women.
43 EMBA London students, of whom 15 (35%) are women. 13 (30%) of the cohort are commuters[1] to the UK. There are 28 nationalities within the class, with 15 years’ average work experience among them. This is the highest number of years’ experience to date, with levels of experience ranging from four to 25 years.
39 EMBA Dubai students, of whom 10 (26%) are women. Of the 39, 23 (59%) are commuters outside the UAE. 15 nationalities are represented within the class, with on average 13 years’ experience, ranging from seven to 25 years of experience.

The first female sailor of Tamil Nadu, India – one of the first Indian women to pursue a career in the merchant navy
An Uro-Oncologist who does robotic surgery twice a week
A university professor who has gone to Everest base camp
A co-founder and CEO of an AI-powered robotics and analytics company for agriculture who has an academic background in neuroscience
A PhD student in Earth and Planetary Science who is currently working at an AI start-up in the automotive industry
An ex-military commander who was also a professional cricketer
An ultra-marathon runner
A climate change consultant.

[1] Both EMBA London and Dubai are part-time programmes which require travel for those students not residing in London or Dubai, hence use of the term ‘commuters’
