Poets & Quants has published its annual list of the most disruptive MBA start-ups, this time focussing on the achievements of founders hailing from the MBA Classes of 2023. London Business School alumnus Koji Muto features in the list with his Ki Hydrogen venture, an innovative waste-to-hydrogen technology which produces green hydrogen and green chemicals from waste biomass.

Some 35 business schools from around the world submitted nominations for ventures with “the greatest potential for lasting beyond business school.”

Koji’s deep-tech climate venture has already garnered over a million dollars in pre-seed funding from four institutional investors who were impressed with the company’s focus on finding a clean way to produce hydrogen that doesn’t cost the earth.

Koji, who hopes to cut 100 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions through his start-up, spoke to Poets & Quants about what he has achieved so far. You can read Koji’s profile to find out more about which MBA class was most valuable in building his start-up, which professor he considers to have made the most significant contribution to his plans and the challenges faced in creating his company.

Speaking to LBS about his delight about being recognised by Poets & Quants and his plans for the future, Koji commented:

“I’m honoured to be recognised by Poets & Quants for our innovation in green hydrogen. We are actively hiring as we scale our technology out of the lab and are seeking passionate individuals eager to work at the frontier of climate-tech. If you’re driven to make a tangible impact and ready to contribute to our mission, I would love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out to me via LinkedIn.”
