Martina Andreani started the accounting PhD programme at London Business School (LBS) in 2019. Before joining LBS, Martina studied at Bocconi University in Milan, where she achieved full grades with honours graduations from both her M.Sc. in Accounting, Financial Management and Control and her B.Sc. in Economics and Management. Her research interests focus on capital markets, understanding the role played by financial information intermediaries (such as debt and equity analysts), the effects of corporate disclosure, the pitfalls related to executives’ compensation, and the consequences of automation of procedures. Before her PhD, Martina worked as post-graduate researcher at Bocconi University, where she gained experience with data collection and analysis techniques, learning different approaches to research. In her free time, Martina loves running, hiking, and reading historical and fantasy books.
