London Business School has achieved an impressive second place for MBA programmes in Europe based on funding raised by startup founders according to the latest PitchBook Data Ranking.

Female Founders scored highly in another ranking from PitchBook. LBS ranked within the top 10 business schools based on the number of female founders it has successfully supported through its world-class teaching and coaching, its Incubator programme and vigorous multi-sector, multi-stakeholder outreach initiatives.

Luisa Alemany, LBS’s Associate Professor of Management Practice in Strategy and Entrepreneurship; Academic Director, Institute of Entrepreneurship and Private Capital (IEPC), acknowledged the School’s “vibrant ecosystem” and the support, energy and enthusiasm from everyone who has helped make, promote and grow the School’s reputation within the global entrepreneurial community.

“My deepest thanks to all the founders, mentors, students, alumni, faculty, staff, sponsors and donors that have helped us produce these results, and this important recognition from PitchBook.”

Jane Khedair, IEPC’s Executive Director, said that news of the rankings and broader recognition by PitchBook was extremely rewarding.

“At IEPC we see ourselves advancing our ambition to have a profound impact on the way business impacts the world. This recognition does not come about through any magical process, but by the excellent research, teaching, mentoring programmes and suite of outreach initiatives that provide an unparalleled level of support to our students, entrepreneurs and investors as well as a large and diverse audience of executives, innovators and policymakers. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic result and look forward to building on this success over the coming months.’
