Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship

Dr Xia Li’s research focuses on corporate sustainability, with a particular interest in climate change and firm strategies. In particular, the first research stream explores firms’ adaptation and mitigation strategies in response to climate change. The second research stream examines the diffusion and adoption of green innovations. Dr Li is also on the Editorial Review Board for the Strategic Management Journal.

Dr Li has received several research awards, including the Best PhD Paper Award 2022 by the UN PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment) and the Questrom’s 2021 Award for Outstanding Doctoral Research. 

Dr Li received the Research Fellowship from the Global Development Policy Centre 2020 – 2022.

Dr Li completed her PhD at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, holds a Master of Public Administration from the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University and received bachelor’s degrees (BA, BS, and Economics) from Peking University in Beijing, China.

Prior to her doctoral studies, Dr Li worked as a Regional Associate Director at Aon and a Consultant at Environmental Resources Management in Hong Kong.
