Dr Minseo Baek is an Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour at London Business School. Dr Baek’s research examines how social backgrounds, such as class, gender, and race, shape people’s approaches to and experiences in navigating careers, focusing on their implications for inequality and human resource management. She uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate these questions, primarily among high-skilled professionals.
She holds a BA from Korea University, an MSc from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Management from The Wharton School. Prior to joining LBS, she co-founded and served as Chief Strategy Officer for MyRealTrip, the leading online travel platform in South Korea.

Negotiation & Bargaining
We negotiate every day. We negotiate with potential employers, co-workers, roommates, landlords, parents, bosses, merchants, service providers, spouses, and even our children. Although people negotiate all the time, most know very little about the strategy and psychology behind effective negotiations. The course will highlight the components of an effective negotiation and teach students to analyze their own behavior in negotiations. The course will be largely experiential, providing students the opportunity to develop their skills by participating in negotiations and integrating their experiences with the principles presented in the readings and course discussions.
