Bukky Oyedeji

Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship

PhD (University of Wisconsin-Madison) MED (University of Lagos)

Dr Bukky Akinsanmi Oyedeji is a strategy scholar who studies the relationship between human capital, workplace design, and firm performance. Her research focuses on how complementary firm resources – including workplace design – affect the value created by a firm’s people, particularly in the contexts of employee mobility and entrepreneurship.

Dr Oyedeji’s work combines architectural and urban design methodologies with econometric approaches to understand how human assets, workflow processes and spatial layouts affect human interaction and firm performance. Her research has been supported by the Strategy Research Foundation, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development population dynamics program as well as other research grants. Her findings are published in both academic and practitioner outlets in management and architecture.

Before entering academia, Dr Oyedeji led strategy and research at an award-winning architecture and engineering firm and oversaw their client and business development efforts. She has worked with both SMEs and Fortune 500 clients across several industries including healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, logistics and distribution, and higher education. Additionally, she has provided consulting services to various professional bodies. At London Business School, she teaches the MBA program's Core Strategy class. A LEED Accredited Professional, Dr Oyedeji remains a licensed member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architecture Registering Boards (NCARB). Her professional experience spans the United States, the United Kingdom and Africa.
